Chanel Pre-Fall 2012- Paris-Bombay



Now that Pre-Fall has become a legitimate season, Pre-Fall shows, once small presentations or look books sent in the mail, are becoming just as big as Fall or Spring shows. Karl Lagerfeld presented the Chanel Pre-Fall Paris-Bombay collection yesterday in Paris and it was exquisite. Lagerfeld uses the Pre-Fall collections, each inspired by a different city, to showcase the Métiers d'Art, the small ateliers specializing in different couture techniques, such as embroidery, buttons and feathers that Chanel owns in Paris, so Chanel's Pre-Fall collections (such as last year's Paris-Byzance collection) are always especially elaborate. Chanel fun fact: New buttons are designed for every Chanel collection. You will never see the same Chanel button twice!
